Vaultwarden brings them together in one encrypted space: each person has an individual account, team credentials are shared according to defined permissions, and access can be revoked immediately.

Instead of sending a password by email, SMS, WhatsApp or phone, you make it available through the password manager. Simple password management for your team

Vaultwarden is the open-source server that stores the encrypted data used by the password manager. It can run on your own servers, at your premises or on private infrastructure managed by us.

Your team can use it on iPhone and Android, Windows, macOS and Linux, as well as in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. Autofill removes repeated copying and pasting and makes it practical to use a unique password for every service. These Bitwarden-compatible applications connect to your Vaultwarden server.

To send an access credential securely to a client, supplier or any other external recipient, the Send feature creates a temporary encrypted link. It can be password-protected and limited by an expiry date and maximum number of views. The recipient does not need a Vaultwarden account, and the secret no longer travels in the body of an email, SMS or WhatsApp message.

Shared credentials are organised in collections. Roles determine who can view, change or share them. When someone leaves the organisation, their account can be disabled immediately without disrupting the rest of the team.

What our service includes

In this service, OpenSource Solutions hosts the instance on private infrastructure, provisions the server, installs Vaultwarden, secures HTTPS connections, and prepares the organisation and administrator account.

We guide your designated administrator through the initial setup. Your team then manages accounts, groups and permissions independently; OSS remains responsible for hosting, availability, maintenance, updates and server security.

To strengthen access protection, Vaultwarden can be combined with a sovereign WireGuard VPN, Zabbix monitoring and sovereign offsite backup.

Yes. The vault is end-to-end encrypted: your data is encrypted on your own device before it ever reaches the server, with a zero-knowledge architecture. Even we, who host the service, cannot read your passwords. Only your master password, known to you alone, can decrypt your vault.

You revoke their access to the organization in a single step: they immediately lose access to all shared credentials. As a precaution, we then recommend renewing the passwords they knew. No more open access or shared credentials floating around after someone leaves.

There is none. The technology is open source, so there is no proprietary license to pass on. What you pay for is our managed service: sovereign hosting, updates, security and support. You get a professional-grade password vault for a fraction of the cost of a proprietary solution, without giving up control of your data.

They remain yours. You can export your entire vault at any time in a standard format, with no lock-in and no retention. That is one of the advantages of open source: you are never a prisoner of a vendor.
